need in order to achieve success in writing. Writing tools will
include a phonicsbased spelling system, grammar skills, the process
of research while incorporating computer skills to create various
forms of writing. Prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing
skills will also be taught as part of the writing process. Students
will also explore various types of writing such as narrative, persuasive,
and informative, and experience the expression of feelings that
make up a poem.
