Aloha,
I am Barbara Lee, one of the elective teachers. I teach Keyboarding
and Word Processing.
I grew up in a small town in southeastern Oregon and received my education
at Oregon State University majoring in Business. My bachelor’s
as well as my master’s degrees were obtained at Oregon State
University.
My teaching experiences have been varied. They have included a Job
Corp center, a state penitentiary as well as middle schools and high
schools in Washington, Maryland, and Hawaii. I even taught English
at Song Sim Women’s University in Seoul, Korea for two years.
Hobbies include reading and jogging and finishing the Honolulu Marathon
each year.

Aloha!
I am Mrs. Lori Murakami and am honored to be at Kamehameha School
as the new 7th grade teen health teacher. I look forward to the exciting
journey of learning and teaching to promote a healthy and active lifestyle
to all the students.
I attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and received a Bachelor
of Education and a Masters in Educational Administration.
The majority of my teaching career has been with the Hawaii State
Department of Education as a health/physical education teacher at
various locations on the Windward side of the island for 17 years.
I grew up on the Windward side and still reside on that side of the
island with my husband Clinton and sons Jason and Carson who attend
Kamehameha Elementary School.
In my leisure I enjoy riding our family boat in Kaneohe Bay.
My hobbies include surfing, tent camping and exercising.
I look forward to a great year with all the 7th grade students!

Mr.
Palani Williams was born and raised in Kaimuki, Oahu. He attended
Kamehameha since kindergarten and graduated in 1987. Mr. Williams
played football, wrestling, waterpolo, riflery, and competed on the
swim team at Kamehameha.
He spent four years in the active duty Army as an Airborne Infantryman
(11C). Mr. Williams was stationed for one year in Korea and spent
the remainder of his enlistment at Fort Bragg with the 82nd Airborne
Division. While there, he participated in Operation Just Cause (Panama)
and Operations Desert Shield/Storm. Mr. Williams also spent six years
in the Hawaii Army National Guard and his unit was called toKauai
after Hurricane Iniki hit.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Art Education and a Master's
Degree in Middle Level Education from UH Manoa. He is currently pursuing
a PhD in Educational Administration.
Mr.Williams has been the Art Teacher at KMS since 1995 and is also
the advisor for the Meat Club. He has coached Kamehameha's Intermediate
Girls Basketball team in 2002 and Kamehameha's Wrestling Team since
1991. In 1999, as Head Coach, the team won it's third straight State
Championship and he was awarded the ILH and State Coach of the Year
for wrestling.
Mr. Williams currently lives in Pauoa and enjoys playing basketball,
wrestling, golfing, reading, doing art, going to the movies, collecting
anime cels, and playing with
his dog Pa'a. |
