Born and raised in Connecticut, came to Hawai‘i to attend the University of Hawai‘i. I fell in love with these beautiful islands and decided they were meant to be my home.

At Kamehameha School – Co-Advisor with my wife Mi‘ilani of the hula club Na ‘Olapa ‘Opio o Kamehameha, Coach and Organizer of the Makahiki Games at Middle School and take the winners to compete on Moloka‘i in the State Makahiki Games. Assistant Coach of the Kamehameha Gymnastics Team and Kamehameha Cheerleaders.

In the community - Member of Halau Na Kamalei under Kumu Hula Robert Cazimero for 27 years. Crew member of Hokule‘a and Hawai‘iloa Voyaging Canoes since 1991. Board member of Friends of Hokule‘a and Hawai‘iloa Canoe Builders
