Challenge:
Make better choices to E Mälama ‘Äina (take care of our land).

Overview:
Our 7th grade team is from Honolulu, Hawaii.  This challenge is important to us because we come from a culture that valued the environment and lived in harmony with nature for hundreds of years.  We’ve since lost that close connection with the environment, but are looking for ways we can reconnect and care for the land the way our ancestors did in the past.

Guiding Questions:
What are the ways we can care for the environment? 
What do we need to know in order to make better choices?
What is already being done to care for our local environment?
