Who
are we?
This year's team is comprised
of 107 students. 14 of our students are boarders from
Moloka`i, Kaua`i, and Hawai`i. 52 students come from
our Kamehameha Elementary School and the other 55 students
are new invitees. We have 50 boys and 57 girls on our team.
The Pü`ulu
Lehua homeroom advisors include Mrs. Akau, Mrs. DeCastro,
Ms. G. Murakami, Ms. Rosehill, Mrs. L. Murakami, Mr. Hudgens, and
Ms. Lee.

Team
Expectations
Students are to:
- have a team binder
with the SAB placed at the front,
- complete work
for English, social studies, & science in blue or black
ink only and math work should be done in pencil,
- have the proper
heading (first name, last name, date, section) in the upper
right corner of all work to be turned in,
- complete work
in a timely manner when absent from school. The amount of
extra time given corresponds to the number of days absent,
- be in their seat
when the bell rings to start class, and
- wait to be dismissed
by the teacher at the end of class.
In addition, the
COP system will be utilized in the core classes on a daily
basis.

Field
Trip Expectations
As a member of Pü‘ulu Lehua, the
following behaviors are expected:
- practice
TRIBES agreements: attentive listening (no conversations
while someone else is speaking, pay attention to the
speaker,) show appropriate appreciation (common courtesies
such as “please,” “thank you,”
etc.), no putdowns (no derogatory remarks or gestures),
mutual respect, active participation (no wall flowers)
- display
hö‘ihi (respect), mälama (caring),
and pono (moral & proper behavior)
- avoid horse
play
- follow
directions given by teachers and adult leaders
- stay with
your assigned group
- practice
‘imi na‘auao (seeking wisdom).

Failure to
demonstrate the above behaviors may result in the loss of
future field trip privileges and/or detention. Students will
be given only one formal warning.
