Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) THE federal financial aid
form to fill out to be considered for Federal aid (including Pell grants,
Stanford loans, etc). Required by all colleges and universities to determine
eligibility. A “Web Chat” is accessible from the customer service/contact
page and all application pages (“Web Chat” has the same hours
as the customer phone service line).

Register online for your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Your PIN serves
as your identifier, and your electronic signature (which now holds the same
legal status as your written signature). Use this PIN number to: access your
information in the U.S. Department of Education computer; electronically sign
the FAFSA and make corrections; view the status and results of your processed
FAFSA application; and request a duplicate copy of your Student Aid Report
(SAR). You will need a PIN number for the student applying for aid and one
parent.
