Community Photo
Project
Now that we have worked and practiced taking pictures in school,
you can do even more frontloading (planning) before you begin taking pictures
of your community. Attached you
will find the categories which we revised together in class. You need to think about what photos
would photos like to take in each category and list them down. You may want to be specific about what
will be in your photo, the composition, what P.O.V., etc. Your next assignment will be to
storyboard your planned photos.
After storyboarding, each student will receive a disposable camera with
27 available shots in them.
You may want to consider taking pictures of the
following:
- What is the closest mountain to your
house?
- What is the closest beach to your
house?
- What is the closest shopping center to
your house?
- What is the closest public library to
your house?
- What is the closest public or private
school to your house?
- What is the closest park to your house?
These types of landmarks both nature-made and manmade help
define your community.
Please talk to your parents (or an adult who can help you) about
this plan and have them sign the bottom so I know they are willing to help you
put this plan into action once you receive your cameras.
Have fun!!!!
