Conclusion:
Continuous Endeavor
My teacher once said, "If it is happening, the solution is embedded
right in it." I've found such encouragement in these words. Stepping
out from doubting my own ability to handle the situation, I've transferred
my energy into seeking solutions by re-examining the situations from a
distance. Over time I discovered that its opposite to be just as true:
if things are not happening, there will be no solution to it. If there
is no solution, the problem is not what I thought it was or lies elsewhere.
When the classroom management issue recurs again and again even though
I thought I've dealt with it already, rather than getting down and feeling
helpless I can gain renewed energy by changing the angle of the way I've
been looking at the situation and take a larger perspective. Through this
practice my class management muscle gained greater flexibility and tolerance.
