Mahalo to all the families who attended Open House!
Second Grade had a wonderful turnout. At Open House the children
were excited to be able to share their classrooms with their families and
be a part of the event. We recognize and appreciate the extra effort it
most likely took you to rearrange your schedule and join us in the middle
of the day.
We also appreciate all of you who helped the students find Polynesian
Artifacts. The sharing of their artifacts, our field trips to Bishop Museum
and the Polynesian Cultural Center, as well as Karen Yamamoto Hackler’s
storytelling of Hawaiian Legends will all be very valuable in our Hawaiian-
Polynesian unit.

If you are interested, please send a note or call your teacher at school (842-8383) and she will contact you to set up a date, time and to work out the details with you.
