Notes to Parents
Thanksgiving
Parent Centers
Parent Center Day
on Nov. 14 was so much fun. The children made miniature pumpkin
pies, Thanksgiving picture frames and cards, read a Thanksgiving
story and played pumpkin bowling. Parent Centers is a great opportunity
for parents to observe their child in the context of the classroom,
meet their child's classmates and enjoy doing something fun with
their child. Thank you to
all the parents who helped: Nicole and Gregg Agena (Kasey),
Wendy
Almodova (Colt),
Marie Ellena Cobb (Sdam), Honey Dung (Lancen), Jeanelle Gante
(Ryan), Kim Machida (Logan), Cindy Melim (Hokupa`a, Michele
Yim (Jaelynn).

Christmas
at the Chun's
Our visit to Dr. Chun's house
on November 30th was a great way to begin the holidays. Along with
a tour, the
high school speech students performed Christmas stories they wrote,
and played games like Christmas charades and Name that Tune (with Christmas
carols) with the class. Needless to say, the children
had a wonderfully enjoyable time. At the end of the tour the children
received goodie bags filled with treats. Mahalo nui loa to Dr. and
Mrs. Chun
who so graciously and generously open up their home every year at Christmas
for the haumana to enjoy.
