Class Notes
Homework and Spelling - Please remind your child to return his/her spelling tablets by FRIDAY and to be prepared to take a test on his/her 5 words and 2 review words from the previous week.
Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens - The class will be going to Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens to learn about nature around us. John Stokes of The Tracking Project and Brother Noland will join us for a full day of fun in Kaneohe. Local artist, Tammy Yee, will also be joining us after lunch. She will be teaching the students how to use their senses as they draw and color their natural surroundings.
Parent Conferences - A schedule and reminder notices will be sent home shortly. Conference dates are slated for October 1st and 2nd, Monday and Tuesday. There will be No School for students on both days, as well as Wednesday.
Pumpkin Carving - The children will be carving pumkins for Halloween on Monday, Oct. 29! We will send home the finished Jack-o-Lanterns with our raffle winners on Tuesday. Thank you parent volunteers!
Thanksgiving Parent Centers - Pumpkin pies, apple turkeys, and making I'm Thankful trees are all part of the fun on Wednesday, Nov. 14th! Much mahalo to the many families who have said they would be willing to volunteer their time. More information will be forthcoming as the date draws closer.
