Beliefs
At
Kamehameha Elementary School we believe that learning is active and
developmental. It involves a continuous cycle of exploration, investigation
and application. It is multi disciplinary. Communication is an integral
component of learning as it occurs in a social context. Learning enables
people to make informed and responsible decisions about their lives.

Goals
for Students
Children
completing KES should have the basic learning skills in language arts
to:
-Read
purposefully with fluency and understanding in a variety of texts.
-Be
able to acquire information through listening, questioning, observing,
and experimenting.
-Be
able to express meaning clearly and accurately through speech and
writing for a variety of purposes.
-Be
able to think critically and creatively to make decisions, interpret,
experience, understand ideas and problem solve.
-Be
able to independently plan, organize, and evaluate use of own time
to accomplish goals.
