HIGHLIGHTS:
•The March 5, 1961 cover story of the "Hawaiian Holiday" section of the Sunday Advertiser has an excellent history of Song Contest up to 1961.
•The 1964 Song Contest would be held on April 17 at the new Honolulu International Auditorium rather than on campus at Kekuhaupi‘o.
•On February 16 and March 15, 1968, the Song Contest was televised live and in color by KHVH, Channel 4.
