September 16, 2005 internal e-mail to Kamehameha Schools faculty and staff
Aloha mai käkou!
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Chris J. Pating as our new Vice President of Strategic Planning and Implementation. Chris will oversee the implementation of the Education Strategic Plan and will also direct Kamehameha’s long-range strategic planning efforts. Additionally, he will oversee the offices of Strategic Planning and Policy, Analysis and System Evaluation.
Although a new employee, Chris is no stranger to Kamehameha Schools. He has worked with our organization on many different projects over the past several years, most recently with the Education Group Executives in the development of the Kamehameha Schools Education Strategic Plan. Throughout all of his work, he is known for his sound knowledge of educational systems, clear thinking and planning, excellent facilitation skills, accompanied by a great sense of humor and the ability to accomplish significant amounts of work by working well with others.
Chris has a wealth of experience in strategic planning, having assisted several education organizations to develop and implement strategic initiatives, processes and systems. Prior to joining Kamehameha, Chris headed Arthur Andersen’s National K12 Education Consulting Practice and their Global Education Industry Team. Upon the acquisition of Arthur Andersen by BearingPoint, he served as Senior Executive and Education Lead for the Western Region before leaving to start Pating Company, a consulting firm that specialized in serving large public and private education enterprises.
Chris’ office is located in suite 186 in Hale Makai and his telephone number is 523-6362. Please join me in welcoming Chris to our Kamehameha ÿohana!
