Dear Aunt Mary
In a few days we hope to see
the Allens and Faxon Bishop here.
No doubt the Allens will have im-
--proved in health, and they have en-
--joyed their visits, though there have
been many drawbacks upon their pleasure.
It will be a pity if they miss seeing the
Pattisons.
The death of Bradley Bishop has been a
grief to his mother, and many friends
He had many excellent qualities and
good prospects, but a sound constitution
and good health were wanting. I am
very sorry for his mother and sister who
are sickly and yet have to work hard.
Bert Bishop is engaged to marry a nice
girl, and he is behaving well, and working
hard.
You must be enjoying your present
home very much, free from care and
annoyance, and with your dear Althea
ever at hand. You are fortunate in having
such a niece and such a home. I have
a very good opinion of her husband. Henry
and family -- including Bernie who is his
neighbor -- were all well when lately
heard from. We are in usual health.
Herewith I enclose Bishop & Co. sight Dft
N°8303 on New York, your favor, for $100.00
which, please acknowledge.
With much love to you and cousin
Althea and kind regards to Mr. DeVine
and Mr. Catlin from Bernice and
myself. I remain
Your affec nephew
